The Recreation Director and Programmer are responsible for the planning, organizing and operation of the cultural, athletic and recreational activities in the City. They work in cooperation with other groups and individuals in carrying out these activities throughout the year.


Adult Leagues

The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is now accepting registration for this summers adult leagues, Sand Volleyball and Kickball.This season, each team that participate in any of these leagues will recieve a discounted player fee, already applied to their registration. Spring Swim Lessons

Sign up for The City of St. Johns Spring Swim Lessons starts now and goes through April 6th! Classes will be held on Tuesday's and Thursday's starting on April 10 through April 26. Adult Open Gym Volleyball

The City of St. Johns adult open gym volleyball will be on Thursday nights at Gateway Elementary from 7:30 to 9:30pm. The cost of open gym is $4 per person each night or you can purchas a $20 open gym pass good for 6 visits.  

Adult Softball League

The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for the 2018 Adult Summer Softball league through March 28th. This season we will be offering discounted player fees to every team in all leagues. Registration form can be picked up from the city offices or downloaded. Winter Warm Up

This eight-week training program involves attending two weekly one-hour sessions with certified Good Form Running and Walking coaches from the Playmakers Fitness foundation. This program is free and open to all ages and abilities ( a parent must accompany children).The program will meet at St. Johns High School Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.

Winter Youth Programs

The City of St. Johns Recreation Department is now accepting registrations for the 2018 Winter Youth Programs. This years winter programs are; Kids Power Karate Classes, Photography Classes, Little Hoopsters Basketball Program, and 3rd through 6th grade basketball clinic.
